Important disclosures about vehicle inspections, repairs, and your rights as a customer.
Effective Date: April 20, 2026
This Vehicle Disclosure outlines the policies and procedures of Otobotix Auto Care ("we," "us," or "our") regarding vehicle inspections, repair disclosures, parts usage, and customer rights. We are committed to full transparency in every service we perform. Our shop is located at 2655 Monument Blvd Unit D, Concord, CA 94520.
When you bring your vehicle to Otobotix Auto Care, we will perform an initial inspection to assess the condition of your vehicle as it relates to your service request. During this process, we may identify additional issues or recommended repairs beyond the original scope of your visit. We will clearly communicate all findings to you before proceeding with any work.
Our inspection reports will include a description of each issue found, the recommended repair or service, an estimated cost for each item, and a priority level (safety-critical, recommended, or advisory). You are never obligated to approve any repair beyond what you originally requested.
No repair work will begin without your explicit authorization. If during the course of an authorized repair we discover additional issues, we will contact you immediately to discuss our findings and obtain your approval before proceeding. We will provide a revised estimate for any additional work. Your authorization may be given verbally (in person or by phone) or in writing.
Otobotix Auto Care uses a combination of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, Original Equipment Equivalent (OEE) parts, and aftermarket parts depending on availability, cost, and suitability for your vehicle. We will inform you of the type of parts being used in your repair and discuss alternatives when available.
If you have a specific preference for OEM-only or a particular brand of parts, please inform us before work begins. Special-order parts may require additional time and cost. All parts used in repairs are covered under their respective manufacturer warranties, and we will provide documentation upon request.
In certain situations, used or rebuilt (remanufactured) parts may be recommended as a cost-effective alternative. We will always disclose when used or rebuilt parts are being installed and obtain your consent before proceeding. Used and rebuilt parts may carry different warranty terms than new parts, which will be communicated to you prior to installation.
Otobotix Auto Care stands behind the quality of our work. Our standard repair warranty covers both parts and labor for a period specified at the time of service. Warranty terms may vary depending on the type of repair and parts used. Warranty claims must be made by returning the vehicle to our Concord location. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or subsequent modifications is not covered under our warranty.
All estimates provided by Otobotix Auto Care are based on our initial assessment and are subject to change upon further inspection. We will not exceed the authorized estimate by more than 10% without obtaining additional approval from you. Final invoices will itemize all parts, labor, and applicable fees. We are committed to fair and transparent pricing for all services.
Vehicles left at our facility beyond the agreed-upon service period may be subject to daily storage fees after a courtesy notification period. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before any storage charges apply. Vehicles unclaimed for an extended period will be handled in accordance with California state law regarding abandoned vehicles.
Otobotix Auto Care is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, wear, or damage unrelated to the services we perform. We document vehicle condition upon intake to the best of our ability. Any concerns about pre-existing damage should be communicated before services begin. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services performed.
As a customer in the State of California, you have certain rights under the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regulations, including the right to a written estimate before work begins, the right to inspect or receive replaced parts upon request, the right to authorize or decline any recommended repairs, and the right to file a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair if you believe your rights have been violated.
For more information about your rights, visit the California Bureau of Automotive Repair at bar.ca.gov or call 1-800-952-5210.

We properly dispose of all hazardous materials, including used oil, coolant, brake fluid, and batteries, in accordance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. We recycle materials whenever possible and use eco-friendly products where available.
Vehicle diagnostic data accessed during service is used solely for the purpose of diagnosing and repairing your vehicle. We do not share, sell, or retain vehicle data beyond what is necessary for service records. For more information on how we handle your personal information, please review our Privacy Policy.
